Wow how the time flies. One minute we are celebrating the return of summer and the next it’s all gone and autumn is arriving. Many guests who are looking to visit us in autumn ask us what’s its like on La Margarita in autumn time. The answer for me is it’s probably my favourite time on La Margarita. Coming originally from England I am used to seasons changing and here it’s no different. Well I guess the big difference is that summer means summer i.e. hot days are guaranteed in Argentina. When autumn comes the leaves start to fall and there is a glorious change of colours on the pampas we start to prepare for harvesting the soya and make sure we have sufficient grass for the cows. The weather can still get pretty hot but generally it is below the 30s of the summer days. The sunsets are fantastic to see riding out on las pampas . The evenings are cooler which means you may have to put a sweater on sometimes. Riding out on las pampas on an autumn evening can be an exhilarating experience you won’t want to miss. If you are planning on coming in autumn I am sure you won't be disappointed

On another note Angela our English volunteer left us this week to continue her travels and adventures in life. She did a great job here and was a big hit with staff and guests alike. I would like to give her a bloggy thank you for her input on La Margarita and I hope she can one day return to work here - she will be more than welcome.
